Mike Williams, PE

Experience

Mike Williams has over 38 years of midstream experience including gas gathering, transmission, storage, processing and fractionation.

Previously, Mike founded and served as CEO, President and Chairman of Clear Springs Energy Company (CSE) where he oversaw the acquisition, construction and management of midstream energy assets across South Texas. CSE’s assets were ultimately sold to Mike Howard with which he formed Howard Energy Partners. Prior to CSE, Mike was an original Partner and served as EVP and COO of Regency Energy Partners where he was responsible for all engineering, operations and commercial activities. After growing the company through acquisitions and greenfield projects, Mike and his partners completed an IPO of the company and later sold to GE Capital. Prior to Regency, he served as VP of Engineering and Operations for Aquila Energy where he and his team operated the assets that were sold to Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. and became the company’s core assets prior to a successful reverse merger with Heritage Propane. Mike began his career with Texaco and later joined Delhi Gas Pipeline. At both companies, he held various engineering, operations and management positions of increasing responsibility.

Clay Smith has over 30 years of midstream experience including operations, engineering, environmental and commercial.

Before Ironwood, Clay was a founding member and Partner of Wildcat Midstream responsible for development, design, construction and operation of a greenfield crude oil gathering system in West Texas that was later sold to JP energy​. Prior to that he was a founding member and Partner of TexStar Midstream where he was responsible for the design and operation of gathering, treating and processing assets​. The company was grown through greenfield and acquisition projects and later sold to Regency Energy Partners. Clay began his career at Delhi Gas Pipeline and has held positions at Regency Energy Partners (Vice President), KN Energy (Director) and Flatrock Energy Partners (Partner).

Justin Johnson

Experience

Justin Johnson has 13 years of finance, capital markets, A&D and accounting experience in the energy industry in the midstream and upstream sectors.

Previously, Justin served as CFO at Palmera Resources where he directed A&D, corporate development, treasury, audit, tax, accounting, risk management and insurance activities for an active upstream company focused on the Eagle Ford Shale. Before joining Palmera, he was the Corporate Development Manager at Amromco Energy, a First Reserve portfolio company and the largest independent oil & gas producer in Romania. While at Amromco, Justin and his team negotiated and secured the first ever Reserve Based Loan in Romania; subsequently growing the facility from $30MM to $100MM in 18months. Earlier in his career, Justin held various roles in corporate finance, treasury, FP&A, and accounting with Quantum Resources and Carrizo Oil & Gas where he managed a $1BN syndicated credit facility, the company’s hedging program and an annual capex budget of +$600MM.

Josh Doramus

Experience

Josh Doramus has over 17 years of midstream engineering experience in all areas of oil and gas gathering, processing, treating, measurement and construction.

Previously, Josh served as Sr. Director of Process Engineering at Howard Energy Partners (“HEP”) where he was responsible for the company’s processing, facility and terminal engineering, project management and construction. Before HEP, Josh was VP of Engineering and Operations for Medallion Midstream, where he led the acquisition, transition and integration of 100 miles of existing gathering system, the build out of a new gathering system, and the installation of a grassroots cryogenic plant. Prior to Medallion, Josh was Director of Process Engineering at Energy Transfer, leading the group responsible for Energy Transfer’s companywide processing, treating, dehydration and condensate handling efforts with particular focus on expanding the company’s processing capabilities in the Eagle Ford Shale. Josh also held various engineering positions at PVR Midstream and Crosstex Energy Services.
